The cat-camel stretch is a gentle, controlled movement that mobilizes the entire spine. For disc herniation patients, this exercise helps maintain spinal flexibility and promotes nutrient exchange in the discs through gentle compression and decompression cycles.
How to Perform
Start on your hands and knees with a neutral spine. Slowly round your back upward like a cat, tucking your chin and pelvis. Hold briefly. Then slowly let your back arch downward, lifting your head and tailbone. Move between these positions slowly and smoothly with your breath.
