Gaze stabilization exercises are a core component of vestibular rehabilitation for vertigo and BPPV. They retrain the brain to maintain clear vision while the head is moving, compensating for the impaired vestibular system.
How to Perform
Focus your eyes on a stationary target at eye level. Slowly turn your head from side to side while keeping your eyes fixed on the target. Start with small, slow movements and gradually increase speed and range as symptoms allow. Keep your eyes focused on the target at all times.
